With a paintbrush in one hand and a pint in the other, participants of Charlie's Bar's 'Paint by the Pints' event had a great night of craic and creativity as they embraced their inner artist.
Paint by the Pints is a creative events company that hosts social painting classes in local pubs as well as private events.
On Saturday, January 29, the upstairs bar of Charlie's in Enniskillen was transformed into an alternative art studio, where participants had a go at painting the famous Guinness toucan while indulging in a few drinks to encourage the creative juices to flow.
Talking about the success of the event, Una Burns, manager of Charlie's Bar, told The Impartial Reporter: "I saw ‘Paint by the Pints’ hosting events in Dublin and Belfast, and I thought it would be great for Charlie’s.
"With some opting to do Dry January, this event lent itself to a wide range of people. We had some professional artists attend and some complete novices – myself included!
"What was really lovely about this event was that it catered to all ages and abilities. For every canvas completed on the night, the company also donated one euro to the Irish Motor Neurone Disease Association."
Commenting on the great response to the event, Una added: "The event was sold out before we opened the doors and those who attended spoke very positively about the night.
"We are planning on hosting another in a few months’ time, on Friday, April 29, at 7.30pm with live music upstairs and downstairs after the event."
