In tonight's episode of Crime NI, which airs on BBC One NI at 10.35pm, police are appealing for information on thefts at two businesses in Enniskillen.

Crime NI is a monthly crime appeals show presented by journalists Wendy Austin and Dearbhail McDonald.

This month, officers from the PSNI discuss the details of major investigations, featuring CCTV footage and appealing to the public for help in solving crimes ranging from arson to burglary.

In tonight's episode (Monday, February 14), episode six in the series, police are investigating a theft in Tesco, Enniskillen.

A PSNI spokesperson said: "At approximately 5.59pm on December 13, 2021, a male suspect enters the Derrychara Link store.

"He walks towards the aisle where televisions are on display, where he is seen to remove a security tag from a boxed 50" TV, and takes it off the shelf.

"He then exists the store with the TV, without paying for it. The value of the TV was £379."
 

The PSNI spokesperson said: "At approximately 1.45pm on December 1, 2021, a male and female enter the Railway Junction Retail Park store.

"The male suspect lifts two sets of headphones from the display, places them on a nearby shelf and continues to walk around the store.

"A few minutes later, the male and female return to the goods on the shelf.

"The female puts the headphones into her handbag and they both leave the store without paying for the goods.

"The total value of theft was £618."

The suspects are described as follows: "Male - 30s, short dark hair, medium build, wearing a black face mask, a grey zip up top with black sleeves, black trousers and black trainers.

"Female - 30s, long dark hair, wearing a black face mask, black top with white sleeves, a scarf, black trousers and white trainers, carrying a large black handbag."

This episode is also due to be repeated on Tuesday, February 15 at 11.15pm on BBC Two NI. It will also be available on the BBC iPlayer for one week following transmission.

The PSNI are continuing to encourage the public to watch the programme and are emphasising the importance of coming forward with information they may have on any appeals featured.

The programme appeals to viewers to contact the independent charity Crimestoppers.

Any details provided will be recorded 100 per cent anonymously before being shared with detectives on each case.
