The Ardhowen Theatre welcomes back Enniskillen Amateur Dramatic Society performing Neil Simon’s ‘Plaza Suite’ at 8pm on Thursday, February 17, Friday, February 18 and Saturday, February 19.
Don’t miss this hilarious comedy following three different stories that occur in the same suite (719) in the Plaza Hotel in New York.
From a reluctant bride, to reliving a honeymoon, to rekindling old flames, if only for an hour, EADS promise you a night you won’t forget.
Three different directors present the three acts, with Ella Clarke directing ‘Visitor From Hollywood’, Melanie Little directing ‘Visitor From Forest Hills’, and Christian Carbin directing ‘Visitor From Mamaroneck’.
All directors are supported by an excellent cast including Billy Mulligan, Wendy Graham, Barbara Henderson, Padraig Connolly, Deborah Fallis, Christian Carbin and David Wilkinson.
This amateur production of ‘Plaza Suite’ is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals Ltd. on behalf of Samuel French Ltd.
On Tuesday, February 22 at 8pm, Kabosh Theatre Company presents a poignant new play, ‘Callings’, written by Dominic Montague and directed by Paula McFetridge.
This gut-wrenching new political play follows the lives of Bridget, Helen, Martin, Jason, and Tommy – five gay/lesbian people who sought sanctuary and community through the CaraFriend Gay Switchboard, a phoneline dedicated to supporting LGBT+ people in the 1970s.
Charged with the music of the day, and set amidst a storm of anti-gay headlines, Callings dives deep into the struggle for survival which LGBT+ people faced on a daily basis, and charts the progress of their rights at a pivotal moment in our history.
This production is funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, Belfast City Council and the Garfield Weston Foundation, in association with Carafriend NI and Outcomers, and is suitable for 14+ years.
The next Ardhowen Theatre/Fermanagh Film Club screening, ‘Azor’ takes place on Tuesday, March 1 at 8pm.
In his remarkably assured debut, Swiss director Andreas Fontana invites the viewer into a seductive, moneyed world where political violence simmers just under the surface.
Written in collaboration with Argentinian filmmaker Mariano Llinás (‘La Flor’), Azor is a riveting look at international intrigue worthy of John le Carré or Graham Greene.
Lastly, the Queen of Irish Country, Philomena Begley, plays to a packed house on Wednesday, February 23 at 8pm, and Patrick Kielty is also sold out on Wednesday, March 2 at 8pm.
