A youth footballer was airlifted to hospital from the Bawnacre Centre, Irvinestown following an injury during a football match on Monday, February 21.
It happened during the Danske Bank Faul Cup Final between Coláiste na Carraige in Donegal and Ballybay Community College, Monaghan.
As a result of the injury to the Coláiste na Carraige player, the match was abandoned.
A spokesperson from the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) said they received a call at around 12.36pm.
"NIAS despatched one Emergency crew, one Rapid Response Paramedic and the Charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board were also tasked to the incident.
"Following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, one patient was taken to Royal Victoria Hospital by Charity Air Ambulance with HEMS on board."
In a tweet following the incident, Coláiste na Carraige thanked those who attended: "Coláiste na Carraige would like to sincerely thank the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service and the Air Ambulance Northern Ireland Charity for their help during today’s match. Thanks also to Bawnacre and @ulsterschools for their help. We wish our player a speedy recovery."

Ulster Schools GAA also tweeted saying: " Not a sight that any of us wish to encounter during a game. Thanks to @NIAS999 and @AirAmbulanceNI for their speedy response today in assisting the injured player.
"We all wish the player involved well and a full recovery."
