A man’s case has been sent forward to the Crown Court following a brief hearing at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday.

Ciaran Paul Hogan (36), with an address of Flax Valley, Irvinestown, appeared via video link from Maghaberry Prison for the hearing.

He is charged with burglary on March 13, 2021, when he is alleged to have entered T Dickeys, Mill Street, Irvinestown.

A prosecution representative told the court Hogan had a case to answer, which District Judge Steven Keown agreed with.

When asked if he wanted to say anything in relation to the charge, Hogan questioned why it was being sent to the Crown Court, and why it had taken a year to get to this stage.

He was told that the quickest way for his case to proceed was to transfer it to the Crown Court.

In response to giving evidence, calling witnesses or tendering statements, Hogan said: “Not at this time.”

The case was adjourned to be heard again at Dungannon Crown Court on March 29.
