A man who crashed the car he was driving has been disqualified from driving.
At around 10.46pm on October 2, 2021, police were called out to a report of a one-vehicle road traffic collision on the Gardiners Cross Road, Tempo, by a member of the public, who believed the car was being driven by an intoxicated male..
Upon their arrival, officers observed a damaged Volkswagen Golf that was driven by a male, Stanislovas Juozevicius (46), with an address of Derryree Wood, Lisnaskea, although at the time they were unable to formally identify him.
Juozevicius’s speech was slurred and he was unsteady on his feet. He failed a preliminary breath test at 11.14pm and was arrested for driving with excess alcohol and taken to Omagh Police Station, where his identity was established.
While in Omagh, Juozevicius provided an evidential reading of 62mg of alcohol in 100ml of breath.
Deputy District Judge John Connolly told Juozevicius the reading was high, but he noted his early guilty plea.
Juozevicius was convicted of driving with excess alcohol in breath, having no driving licence, and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined a total of £650.
