The pupils from St. John the Baptist, Roscor have been striving to travel to school in a healthy way and learn healthy choices, carrying out a number of initiatives to further these aims.
The school was delighted to receive the Sustrans Silver Award recently for supporting healthy travel to school and healthy choices. Ann-Marie from Sustrans came to the school to deliver the award at a very special Assembly.
Sustrans co-ordinator, Mrs. Sinclair, said: “I am delighted that everyone’s hard work and dedication has been recognised in the receiving of this award.”
Also delighted with the award, school Principal Aideén McGarrigle added: "Watch this space, we are not finished yet and are currently going for Gold."
