Fermanagh and Omagh District Council (FODC) have said they are "disappointed" after a tree recently installed as part of the £5.2m Enniskillen Public Realm Scheme was damaged.
The tree located on Townhall Street received some damage and will need to be replaced.
A spokesperson for FODC said: "Fermanagh and Omagh District Council can confirm that a tree was damaged recently and is currently working to establish the cause of the damage. The damaged tree will be replaced in due course.
"The Enniskillen Public Realm represents a £5.2m investment in rejuvenating the town centre and the Council is disappointed that one of the new trees recently installed as part of the work has been damaged, undermining the great work being done as part of the Enniskillen Public Realm project."
The spokesperson also confirmed that Public Realm Scheme work should be completed by the end of May.
