THE NEW principal of St. Paul’s Primary School in Irvinestown, Mrs. Shauna Cathcart, who lives in Enniskillen, takes up her appointment after the Easter holidays.

The principal of St. Joseph’s Primary School, Ederney for the past three years, Mrs. Cathcart, originally from Castlederg, said she was very sorry to be leaving St. Joseph’s which she described as school that has a lot of strengths.

More nostalgia...

Her successor will be Mr Jimmy Kirk, the principal of St. Macartan’s Primary School, Clogher.

As she looked forward to her new positions and a new challenge, she also took the opportunity to wish Mr. John O’Kane all the best in his retirement.

She also expressed te belief that he will be a hard act to follow.
