Fermanagh PSNI have issued a warning after a local woman was scammed out of £400 while selling a phone online.
The victim met her buyer in Enniskillen town centre to exchange the goods but never recieved her money.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "We’re asking local people to be on their guard after a recent report of a scam in the Fermanagh area. In this case, a woman lost over £400 selling a phone online. The victim agreed a price for selling the phone and met the buyer in Enniskillen town centre.
"When they met, the buyer led the victim to believe the money had been transferred via a bank transfer. The buyer then left with the goods and the victim never received the money."
Issuing advice on the trading on online goods, a PSNI spokesperson said: "Be wary when selling goods online and ensure you have received the money before handing over the goods.
