FRIENDS, family and members of the local community came out to support creative media students at South West College (SWC) Enniskillen as they hosted a special exhibition of their work at the SWC Erne Campus on Thursday, May 12.
Entitled ‘Identity’, the exhibition offered those in attendance the opportunity to experience and view the work of BA Hons Creative Media students who have worked hard over the past year to produce gaming environments, short films and photography shoots.
Those exhibiting work included Patrick McGovern, Leo Murphy, Tiffany Carey, Kinga Wiatr, Tyler Magolan, Niamh Cusack, Padraig McAlister, Jack ‘Rob’ Magwood, James Keown, Justin Murphy, Darren Scullion, Jordan Poulton, Cormac McCluskey, Bella Henderson and Jakim Odour.
Patrick is a 3D art student currently in the process of completing a BA Honours (Hons) degree in Game Development, with a primary focus on hard surface prop modelling and texturing.
Studying a BA Hons degree in Visual Media Arts Game Development, Leo – also known by the alias of Mr. Se7en online – has a passion for 3D environments and visual narrative.
Tiffany is currently studying a BA Hons degree in Visual Media Arts in Film. She loves all forms of media such as photography, film, animation and art.
It has always inspired her how people can make something from a small idea or nothing.
Kinga is pursuing a BA Hons degree in Visual Media with a passion for filmmaking and design. She enjoys creating things that will spark people’s interest.
BA Hons Games Design student Tyler is passionate about environment prop artistry and hopes to find a place within the gaming industry.
His all-time goal is to create compelling environments that spark the intrigue in people’s curiosity and imagination.
Niamh, a 3D artist who mainly focuses on hand-painted textures, stylised props and environments, is currently studying a BA Hons degree in Visual Media Arts Game Development.
A BA Hons degree student in Visual Media Arts – Games, Padraig has a keen interest in the creation of immersive and engaging environments for games and other applications.
Rob is a passionate student filmmaker with experience in cinema and art. His adaptable approach to his work has allowed him to pursue new creative opportunities to tell stories to an audience.
James, also known as CryoCrusader, has been studying Digital Game Art and Design for the past five years with a primary interest in 3D character modelling, prop art and animation.

Justin has studied five years of Visual Media Arts at SWC. He has a passion for storytelling and has directed a number of short films and documentaries.
Currently studying a BA Hons degree in Visual Media Arts Game Development, Darren’s main goal is to join the gaming industry as a games designer, specifically a level environment artist.
Jordan is also currently completing a BA Hons degree in Visual Media Arts Game Development. He strives to improve all aspects of his work by undertaking new tasks and trying new techniques with a particular interest in environment art and embedding visual narrative in his work.
Cormac, a BA Hons degree student in Visual Media Arts – Games, has a strong passion for gaming which correlates with his desire to learn and create engaging and enjoyable environments for games.
Bella, a photography student, focuses mainly on fashion photography and fashion styling. She has a passion for all things creative and has an eye for styling whilst also enjoys keeping up with the latest trends.
Jakim is a game developer who mainly works in 3D environments. By trade he is a mechanical engineer specialising in designing and production of heavy machinery.
His work focuses on the development of real-world simulation environments in order to produce simulation training within the engineering industry.
During the exhibition event, all the students had the opportunity to talk to those in attendance about their work on display.
The event was a great success, showcasing the skill and talent of SWC students who are sure to have bright futures in their chosen creative fields.
