The Fermanagh Concern Worldwide Volunteer Group has thanked the public for their generous donations, especially in supporting the Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal, which raised more than £9,000 in March and April alone.
Thanks were also given to the customers of Dunnes Stores, where £2,258.10 was collected over two days; Rooney’s Shop, where £2,460.40 was collected; and ASDA Enniskillen, which collected £654.26.
These funds are helping to provide essential items such as blankets, soap and nappies, and rehabilitating nine collective centres inside Ukraine.
The Concern Volunteer Group would also like to thank members of the public in Enniskillen town for donating £1,010.90 during a street collection on Saturday, April 16, and also the members and supporters of the Soroptimists Enniskillen Club, who very kindly donated £500 recently.
These funds will help the humanitarian charity to support vulnerable families affected by conflict, climate change and extreme poverty in the world's poorest countries.
Lastly, thanks also go to the many Concern volunteers, collectors, supporters, donors, direct debit givers, parish offices and shop managers, whose assistance and generosity are greatly appreciated.
