TELETHON ’92 got off to a bright start in Fermanagh last Saturday afternoon when glorious sunshine boosted the numerous events during the county’s mammoth fundraising day.
The weekend fun took off at St. Angelo where the local aeroplane club held a display and flyathon for 12 hours.
At noon, a colourful parade, including majorettes, bands and people in fancy dress, left Gaol Square on its way to the Lakeland Forum.
Varied activities for all the families were organised at a number of venues, including Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, St. Angelo Airport, the Castle Entertainment Centre and Mirage Night Club and Erneside Shopping centre-helping to swell Telethon’s coffers. A triathlon was also arranged in Lisnaskea.
