Moat Primary School had a fantastic day celebrating the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Wednesday, June 1.
For the celebrations, the children and teachers came to school dressed in their finest clothes.
The day began with a Jubilee themed break where everyone enjoyed special buns and treats.
The children then had a fun time participating in the wide array of Jubilee themed activities and games which included a bouncy slide, obstacle course, scavenger hunt, photo booth, tin can alley, hook a corgi, guess the name of the jubilee teddy, lucky dip, teddy bear tombola, bottle stand and nail and face painting. Fermanagh Fun Farm also visited.
In the afternoon, the whole school came together for a Jubilee themed picnic lunch, provided by the kitchen in very special lunch boxes.
Each child was given a Queen’s Platinum Jubilee badge as a keepsake to mark this moment in history.
As part of the events, P4-P7 pupils participated in a bake off which had amazing results. Special guest Dame Arlene Foster, a former pupil of Moat PS, was invited to judge the bake off which proved a very difficult task. Dame Arlene enjoyed joining the school in their Jubilee celebrations.
