Jones Memorial Primary School Summer Fayre took place on Wednesday, June 1 with the celebration coinciding with the Platinum Jubilee.
The local community and family came together to enjoy live music, barbecue food, craft stalls, face painting, bouncy castles along with tasty sweet treats including candy floss and popcorn.
The fayre was free to everyone who attended due to the generous Department of Education’s grant, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Grant and the hard work of the Friends of Jones Memorial Support Group.
The Community PSNI were in attendance and pupils enjoyed dressing as princes or princesses for the occasion.
The school took the opportunity to create an Elmer Trail in the Outdoor Classroom area which was an opportunity to continue the Fundraising for the Northern Ireland Hospice.
Mrs. Sandra Isherwood, school principal commented: “This was a wonderful opportunity for the School and Community to come together after such a long time apart.
“We were delighted to welcome so many to a Summer Fayre that was a fantastic success on a day that was blessed by superb weather,” she said.
Mrs Melanie Little was in attendance in her role as Deputy Lieutenant and she joined the school in planting a Jubilee Rose for the occasion. Willie Stinson and Gareth Wadsworth treated those in attendance to some pipe music and MLA Deborah Erskine was in attendance to share her good wishes too.
