At Ballinamallard Primary School, staff and pupils had a “super” day celebrating The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Wednesday, June 1.
Jubilee celebrations at the school included a 1950s fancy dress and a tea party for the whole school community organised by the Parent Teacher and Friends Association (PTFA) volunteers.
Jubilee picnic The children enjoyed a Jubilee picnic with a special visit from ‘The Queen’ who was piped into the school by Reverend John Beacom.
Other fun games and activities included guess the number of sweets in the jar, guess the weight of the jubilee cake and a bouncy obstacle course with slide. All the children were given a special souvenir badge to commemorate the occasion.
The school’s events were supported by grants from Fermanagh and Omagh District Council and the Department of Education.
