Belleek Primary School along with the entire community of Belleek and the surrounding areas were delighted to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on Wednesday, June 1.
The celebrations began after school on the Wednesday afternoon and was open to everyone that wanted to come along.
“Our pupils and extended families were keen to mark this milestone in some way,” explained principal Nicola Young, adding: “Instead of keeping it low key we decided to apply for funding through the National Lottery Fund.
“We were beyond delighted to be able to offer everything free to the public and give something back to our community following a tough few years.”
On the afternoon there was a barbecue by Phair Grylls (Peter Phair), ice cream from Happy Cones, Vic & Hil coffee cart, JB marquee and bouncy castle hire, Erne Highland Dancers and Garrison Accordion Band.
“I would like to thank everyone on behalf of Belleek Primary school for their amazing support, the turn out was fantastic,” said Nicola, adding: “The atmosphere was wonderful, the weather was beautiful and the social interaction was amazing.”
