After two years with online only productions, ‘Erne Emergency’ and ‘Janus’, Enniskillen Royal Grammar School’s Junior Drama Club is delighted to be returning to performing in front of a live audience, in their usual venue, the Steele Hall on the school’s Lough Shore site, with curtain up at 7pm on Friday, June 17.
This year’s production is ‘The Three Musketeers’, a timeless tale of heroism, treachery, close escapes and honour. The story is set France in the year 1625.
A young man called D’Artagnan sets off from his home in Gascony to Paris, in search of adventure and to fulfil his dream of joining The Musketeers, the King’s famous bodyguards.
He is accompanied by his sister Sabine who he is escorting to her new school.
When they arrive in Paris they meet some of the greatest heroes and the greatest villains in France.
They soon learn the importance of the Musketeers famous motto, “All for one and one for all”.
“We have a great team of cast and crew members who have been working hard rehearsing, polishing their swashbuckling techniques and learning lines,” said a representative of the Enniskillen Royal Grammar School Drama Department, adding: “We hope that the audience will enjoy watching the show as much as we have enjoyed making it.”
