A hearing took place at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on Monday for a Rosslea man who has been charged with 25 counts of fraud by false representations and two counts of theft.
Paul McAloon (37), with an address of Eshnadarragh Road, Rosslea, faces 27 charges over dates ranging from April 17, 2020 to January 31, 2022, and involve 27 alleged victims and an estimated £200,000.
A police officer under oath told the court on Monday they could connect the accused to the charges before the court. The fraud charges allege McAloon accepted a cash deposit in agreement to carry out building works with the intention, by making the representation, to make a gain for himself or another or to cause loss to the victims or to expose them to a risk of loss.
The theft charges relate to alleged theft of building materials to the value of £6,303 and £5,305 from two of the victims. A full file in the case is not due until August 1, with the case now being adjourned until August 8.
