Derrygonnelly Primary School’s (DPS) Parent Teachers’ Association (PTA) hosted a Colour Run recently, to raise funds for the charity (DPS PTA), with the event full of colour and fun for those who took part.
Held previously in 2018 and 2019, the evening on Wednesday, June 29 was a successful, fun evening, for everyone involved – from across the local community.
Large numbers participated in the colour run, which went around the village, starting outside the school, continuing on to Fairgreen Road, onto Creamery Road, Glenlevin Road then the Caldrum Road, with participants passing the finish line back at the school gates.
The event was a great community get-together, to celebrate the end of the school year, and also proving very welcome after two years of disruption due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
DPS was delighted to be back participating in Shared Education activities during the course of this year with pupils from St. Patrick’s PS and Killyhommon PS.
The Colour Run was the grand finale of their school year, before their summer holidays began on the following day.
