AFTER a wet and grey morning on Sunday, July 3, the sun broke through the rain clouds in the afternoon just as tractors queued up to take part in Tempo Tractor Run in aid of Marie Curie.

“It was a wet, showery morning and the sunshine came out for almost the duration of the tractor run,” said a spokesperson on behalf of the Tempo Tractor Run committee.

“It was a good success overall, with a lot of people attending. We weren’t expecting as [many], with the price of fuel and other events taking place on the day, but it was supported very well,” added the spokesperson, noting that around 80 tractors took part in the event.

Starting off at Tempo Community Centre, the tractors travelled through Tempo towards Enniskillen, turned at the stone circle and drove back through the town towards Clabby and back via the rear entrance of Tempo Manor.

A total of £1,226 was raised from the event, which has been donated to Marie Curie.

Grateful for all of the support on the day, the committee spokesperson said: “Thank you to everyone who attended and donated.

“Also, thank you to John Langham of Tempo Manor – he is very generous [with his support] and personally gives us a lot of help.”
