Massive crowds filled the show grounds in Augher for the 102nd Clogher Valley Show this week, as hundreds of entries of cattle and sheep went before the judges throughout the day.
One sheep judge from County Wicklow remarked on the high quality of sheep exhibits and was delighted to be part of the successful show.
One of the new cattle breeds at the show were Dexters and the championship went to Peter McAreavey with the reserve going to the Bloomer family.
In the dairy cattle classes there was keen interest in the judging of the £1,000 dairy championship sponsored by Fane Valley but the result was not available at the time of going to press.
See next week’s Impartial Reporter for a full round-up of remaining results.
