Two Fermanagh natives, a producer and a playwright – both award-winning in their fields – have joined forces to create a comedy series set in their home county.
Playwright Kat Woods and producer Brian J. Falconer, speaking to The Impartial Reporter this week, confirmed that they are currently working together on a new six-part comedy series which will be set in County Fermanagh.
Early stages
Due to being in the early stages of the development process, no more information regarding the production could be shared at this time.
Originally from Enniskillen, both Kat and Brian are now based in Belfast, but are passionate about their Fermanagh roots.
New play
An award-winning playwright, Kat is showcasing her newest play, ‘Birds of Passage in the Half Light’, which is set in rural Fermanagh, at the upcoming Edinburgh Festival Fringe with Tinderbox Theatre Company [see the full interview with Kat on Page 25].
Brian, an award-winning and Academy Award-nominated producer with his company, Out of Orbit, has recently been invited to join The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
He is one of the 71 Academy Award nominees who were invited to join the class of 2022. Brian is recognised for his work on short films, ‘Saul & I’, and ‘Boogaloo and Graham’.
