This week at the Ardhowen, Just Stage It Academy present the fun musical ‘Annie KIDS’, performed by a local cast of youngsters who successfully auditioned to take part in a weeklong workshop with the international award-winning school of performing arts.
All seats are sold for performances on Saturday, August 6 at 4.30pm and 7pm.
Moving on to fashion now, and Mencap NI Fermanagh Youth Forum present their ‘Fab Trash Fashion show’ on Thursday, August 11 at 7.30pm, following the theme of ‘Sustainability – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle your Fashion!’
Come join these young people to raise money for Mencap NI by re-using and recycling clothes that we have in our own homes.
On the night you will be able to see the fashion modelled by the young people organising the event, and you will be able to buy the clothes as well as other upcycled crafts, with the fun and different night out also supporting a good cause.
Returning to theatre entertainment, and local group Fermanagh Musical Theatre are presenting the hilarious theatre production ,‘9 to 5 – The Musical’, inspired by the iconic1980s film and book by Patricia Resnick, with music and lyrics by Dolly Parton.
A story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era, ‘9 to 5’ is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic. Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot!
The production follows on from the huge success of the group’s previous productions such as ‘Bonnie and Clyde’, ‘Curtains’, ‘Sister Act’ and ‘Little Shop Of Horrors’.
Fermanagh Musical Theatre’s performances run from Wednesday, August 17 to Wednesday, August 24 at 8pm, with a matinee on Saturday, August 20 at 3pm.
