SOME light rain failed to dampen the spirits of those who attended the ‘Hats off to the Forthill’ event last Friday (July 29), as many enjoyed an afternoon of fun at the picturesque park in the heart of Enniskillen.
There was a great atmosphere as visitors of all ages took part in traditional games and watched demonstrations such as balloon modelling, while others took the opportunity to relax and enjoy a picnic in the park’s beautiful surroundings.
During the afternoon, visitors were treated to music from the Victorian bandstand area among other entertainment.
Cole’s Monument was open to the public, granting those who have a head for heights a chance to see the statue of Galbraith Lowry Cole up close, while also taking in the views of the town and rolling countryside beyond.
It was a great afternoon of family-friendly summer fun in Enniskillen.
