The Marble Arch Caves are launching a a brand new family fun activity at the end of August.
The Land of Fairies, an enchanting outdoor fairy trail that will take visitors into the ancient woodland of the Cladagh Glen which is a unique fairy sanctuary, will start on Friday, August 26.
The trail begins at Greenwood gate, here you will enter the Cladagh Glen. Discover what mythical creatures of the fairy family live within this wonderfully diverse woodland as you explore. Learn about the personalities, magic and secret skills the different fairies have, visit their villages and meet their friends on this enchanting trail. Keep your eyes peeled for fairy villages, fairy doors and tree houses, connected by tree bridges and underground walkways.
Come dressed in your favourite mythical creature or fairy costumes but do make sure you are dressed for the weather. This outdoor trail is along a looped path through the wonderful ancient woodland, adjacent to the Marble Arch Caves Visitor Centre. The woodland is the perfect place to have fun outdoors this season!
This activity includes a Land of Fairies Activity Booklet (one per booked child) which contains a fairy trail map, and activities to complete. Use your Land of Fairies Activity booklet to follow the fairy trail map and clues to discover the mythical creatures, keep your eyes peeled to unearth the secrets of the fairy realm. The children will learn about various types of fairies, see their villages, homes and meet their friends as they venture around the fairy sanctuary.
This event is specifically created for children four years to 10 years to enjoy. However, there are no age restrictions on those who can attend. Please book your day and your session slot online in advance of your visit. The Fairy Trail session will last for one hour. All children must be accompanied by an adult. (Children three years and younger are free and do not require a ticket.)
