The PSNI have closed a main road due to ongoing gorse fires.
Motorists travelling on the A4 Belfast Road can expect delays as due to the road closure at a section while the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service (NIFRS) tackle a gorse fire.
In a statement posted to social media, a PSNI spokesperson said: "We are having to fully close the A4 from Dungannon to Ballygawley in both directions due to gorse fires along it.
"Fire Service require the full road for their equipment and drivers cannot see due to the smoke. It will be closed for some time as a result of this."
A reader has tweeted The Impartial Reporter and advised of traffic backlog in the area.
Road closed between Granville and Dungannon. Large Traffic backlog on M1 Dungannon side. Avoid if possible
