A long-running series of road works will come to an end this evening according to SGN Natural Gas.
The company who are responsible for the works which have taken place over much of the summer said: "It is anticipated the works on the Sligo Road will be completed by this evening (Wednesday). In the event of any delays, we will advise accordingly."
According to the SGN website, works on the Lough Shore Road at Drumloyn are set to continue until September 9.
There had been some concerns raised if the works would be completed before the return of the schools this week which would bring more traffic into the County town.
Many motorists have raised concerns as lengthy delays have been experienced since the works began in June.
