A man driving a car with a defective tyre has been handed penalty points and a fine.
On March 11, police stopped a Mercedes in the Sylvan Hill area of Lisnaskea.
While speaking to the driver of the car, Jamie Lee Armstrong (25), with an address of Beech Tree Lane, Tempo, about an unrelated matter, police observed one of the front tyres was bare, with wire protruding from it.
Armstrong was issued with a fixed penalty notice but he failed to take it up within the required time.
His solicitor, Michael Fahy, told Enniskillen Magistrates Court that Armstrong had failed to send off his licence and accepted he should not have been driving the car in the condition it was in.
District Judge Steven Keown issued three penalty points and a £100 fine to Armstrong for the defective tyre.
