A Newtownbutler man has been remanded on bail after an alleged incident of assault and breach of a restraining order last month,
Appearing before a special sitting of Dungannon Magistrates Court was Zacch Donagho (26), from Derrykerrib, who is accused of assaulting a male causing actual bodily harm on August 29.
He is further charged with breaching the restraining order on the same date and involving the same male, by engaging in behaviour which displayed violence, which he was prohibited from doing.
The accused was before the court within days of the incident, where a police officer confirmed the charges could be connected.
Given the alleged breach of the order, the officer had concerns over Donagho’s release; however, District Judge Michael Ranaghan decided this could be managed with conditions.
Donagho was remanded on bail terms which include a ban on contact by any means with the alleged victim.
He was ordered to appear again at Enniskillen Magistrates Court on September 12.
