Philomena Mulligan has become one of the first recipients and indeed the first from Northern Ireland to receive an MS Society Impact Award.
Congratulating Philomena, Siobhan Allister from the Fermanagh MS Group of MS Society spoke about Philomena and her award: “Philomena has been working with the MS society for ten years as a volunteer administrator and support worker.
"Philomena’s dedication and enthusiasm in supporting those living with MS is clear for all to see. As an administrator, she uses her expertise to keep amazing standards and keeps people in Fermanagh informed of all activities and support available.”
She added: “Philomena has also been a Support Volunteer for the last five years, personally providing support to people living with MS including those newly diagnosed. She is extremely motivated and driven to ensure what she does is the very best it can be.
"Philomena is an amazing ambassador for the Fermanagh MS Group and, as a group, we are truly indebted to her for the passion, drive and enthusiasm she displays in everything she does. This is such well-deserved recognition.”
