The Inniskillings Museum was delighted to host a special visit from members of the Dutch military on Friday, September 16. The visit, organised by Curator Maeve Cadden and Cooneen Group representative Jennifer Graham, introduced the guests to Co. Fermanagh's unique military heritage. The group enjoyed a guided tour of the Inniskillings Museum led by Chairman of the Inniskillings Museum and volunteer, Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Mark Scott.
"This was a fantastic opportunity to encourage Dutch tourism in Co. Fermanagh," said a spokesperson for the museum.
Enniskillen has the unique honour of being the only town in Great Britain and Ireland to give its name to two regiments, the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers (infantry) and 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards (cavalry).
A visit to The Inniskillings Museum is a journey through more than 300 years of world history as encountered by these two famous regiments.
