As part of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council's Sport Heritage project 'Exploring histories of local communities through sport', the Lipton Cup (The Peace Cup) will be on display at Enniskillen Castle Museums until tomorrow, Friday, September 30.
This historic cup was originally played for in 1913 and was won by Enniskillen Corinthians. Interestingly, the physical Cup itself never actually made it to Fermanagh – that is until now when it has been loaned to Enniskillen Museum by Clones Soccer Club.
The cup and the other items of Sporting Memorabilia which will be part of the exclusive collection on display this week only.
