Erne Gaels 1-07 Kinawley 1-06
Erne Gaels sealed their place in the Mannok SFC Final as a converted Shane Roonet penalty deep in added on time earned them a one-point victory over Kinawley in Derrygonnelly this evening.
The Belleek side had played with the breeze in the first half and three Aoghan Kelm points helped them into a 0-05 to 0-01 lead.
However, a Paul Breen goal late in the half brought Kinawley back to within a point at the break.
Kinawley had the better of things in the second half but they were guilty of missing too many chances.
But, points from Aaron O'Reilly and Tomás Corrigan put them two up as the game moved into added on time.
There was to be late drama though as Erne Gaels were awarded a penalty and Rooney calmly tucked it away as the Belleek side set up a meeting against Enniskillen on the final on Sunday October 23.
