THE Erne Vintage Classic Car Show took place last weekend, raising an estimated £18,000, to date, for Air Ambulance Northern Ireland (AANI).
Sponsored by BJT & Son Ltd and Hire Centre, the event held at Castle Irvines, Necarne had a range of classic cars and vehicles on show inside the equestrian centre, all whilst supporting the work of the AANI charity.
On Sunday, attendees were even treated to the Country and Western singer Declan Nearney, who entertained the masses. All enjoyed the range of local craft exhibitors, trade and food stands.
The event was organised by long-standing AANI volunteer George Ogle and his team of volunteers.
Speaking following the event, George said that it all went “very well”.
He continued: “We had 90 vehicles and they came from all over, including some local. There were quite a few special vehicles, including a few rally cars.”
AANI, working in partnership with the Northern Ireland Ambulance Service, provides the Helicopter Emergency Medical Service (HEMS) for the province.
HEMS can reach any point of Northern Ireland within 25 minutes, bringing emergency pre-hospital care and critical care interventions from its doctor and paramedic team to the scene of an incident, with the aim of saving lives, brains and limbs.
