There has been some disruption on the roads this morning with heavy overnight rain causing flash flooding.
Currently, a section of the Queen Elizabeth Road in Enniskillen remains closed as work is ongoing to clear floodwater.
Elsewhere there was reports of surface water on the Tempo Road, Enniskillen and Nuttfield Road between Lisnaskea and Brookeborough. Queen Street, Enniskillen was briefly closed but has now reopened.
The PSNI issued the following warning for roads across Northern Ireland: “Police are reminding motorists to take extreme caution when travelling on the roads this morning, Friday, October 28, due to hazardous driving conditions.
“There are a number of roads flooded and impassable. Please follow road signs, slow down and think about whether or not your journey is essential.”
The Met Office issued the following warning, valid until 11am on Friday: “Heavy rain is likely to cause some disruption and flooding in a few places on Friday."
A spokesperson advised of the following impacts of heavy rain across Northern Ireland: “Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely [with] bus and train services probably affected and journey times taking longer. Spray and flooding on roads will probably make journey times longer.”
