Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has confirmed that Phase One of the works at Quay Lane North Car Park, Enniskillen are now complete, with the reopening of the Eastern Car Park.
This area of the car park provides 43 car parking spaces, and three disabled spaces.
The works are being undertaken as part of the Environmental Improvement Scheme, supported through funding from the Department for Communities.
The works are being completed by FP McCann, with a further two phases to be completed.
Phase Two will commence early this month, November, with works to the footpaths which will include the use of natural stone similar to the town centre footpaths which were recently completed as part of the Enniskillen Public Realm Scheme.
These works are scheduled to be competed by the end of January, 2023.
Phase Three of the works – which includes works to improve the drainage, street lighting, kerbing and the resurfacing of the western car park – will be undertaken in January and/or February, 2023.
During the Christmas period, from this November to January 2023, there will be 65 spaces available in the car park.
As the works are being completed, there will be restricted access to sections of the car park.
