100 years of Enniskillen War Memorial was marked last week by the Lisbellaw & South Fermanagh World Wars Society.
Exactly 100 years on from the memorials unveiling, wreaths were laid at the Belmore Street memorial. Wreaths were laid by Miss Maeve Cadden, The Inniskillings Museum curator; Matthew Graham, Head Boy and Holly Bullock, Head Girl of Devenish College; Brian Johnson on behalf of the Lisbellaw & South Fermanagh World Wars Society and Billy Dixon and Dennis Gault on behalf of the Enniskillen branch of the Royal British Legion.
Part of the event was a presentation by Nigel Henderson of the History Hub Ulster (HHU) spoke of the history of the state which is believed to be one of the most decorated of any war memorial in Ulster with three Victoria Cross recipients remembered on the memorial.
The bugler was Michael Crooks, Letterbreen Silver Band and the piper was Charlie McClintok, Clabby Pipe Band. Others in attendance included, John McCormick, a historian who specialises on the 36th (Ulster) Division, members from other regiments and representatives from the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers and the Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards.

Th previous evening a talk on the memorial by Carol Walker MBE, Somme Association was hosted by the Lisbellaw & South Fermanagh World Wars Society.
