The Ardhowen has a fantastic fun-packed programme lined up for the festive season.

Enniskillen Light Operatic returns to the Ardhowen stage with their first full musical since 2019, and they’re back with a bang! ELO proudly presents Disney’s smash hit musical, The Little Mermaid, running from Thursday, November 24 to Saturday, December 3 at 8pm. Follow the trials and tribulations of beautiful young mermaid Ariel as she falls in love with dashing Prince Eric and makes a deal with the evil Sea Witch Ursula to become human, but at a terrible cost. A fantastic family show with all the wonderful Disney songs everyone knows and loves, Under the Sea, Kiss the Girl and the soaring Part of Your World. What better way to start the Christmas season?

Creatives School of Art team facilitate their second week of Creating Christmas on Canvas workshops on Saturday 19 November, where participants can paint their very own seasonal masterpiece. Open to young artists aged 7 to 14 years, all materials will be supplied and guidance will be given by artists, Gail Turner and Gergana Nikolova.

The Ardhowen is offering more seasonal crafts in the Christmas Card Making workshop on Saturday, November 26 and Christmas Decorations Workshop on Saturday, December 3, both at 2.30pm. The workshops are facilitated by local artist Genevieve Murphy and are suitable for children aged five to eight years of age. Genevieve is back with the Christmas Treasure Boxes workshop, for seven to 10 years, on Saturday, December 10.

Centre Stage Theatre Company presents Santa’s Sooty Christmas, a fun family show showing from Wednesday, December 7 to Friday, December 9. All seats are sold for acclaimed Eagles tribute, Talon on Friday, December 9 but there is plenty more fantastic music on offer with Anthony Toner performing in the Gallery Bar on Saturday, December 10, Human Touch: Springsteen – A Tribute on Sunday, December 11, Paul Kelly and Friends on Thursday, December 15, ABBA tribute, The Bjorn Identity on Friday, December 16 and Christmas Crooners on Saturday, December 17. On Sunday, December 18 father and son, Frank and JJ McNamara perform together in The Apple & The Tree, Fermanagh School of Music and Performing Arts present two showcase events on Monday, December 19 and Wednesday, December 21, and Declan Nerney returns on Thursday, December 22. Jake O’Kane on Thursday, December 29 and the Pure Country show on Friday, December 30 provide some fabulous live entertainment.

The Ardhowen, in association with Fermanagh Film Club, presents 'Compartment No.6' on Wednesday, December 14. Finnish director Juho Kuosmanen’s warming and unexpected tale of adventure, self-discovery and human connection, Certificate 15A and on Tuesday, December 20 the film club presents 'Benediction', the story of Siegfried Sassoon, Certificate 12A.

Added to all this, are two special Christmas film screenings on Saturday, December 10, with 'The Muppet Christmas Carol' at 12pm and 'It’s A Wonderful Life' at 5pm.
