Two drivers were issued with fines and penalty points after being detected for driving without insurance when the PSNI South Area Roads Policing Support Group were conducting checks last week.
A PSNI spokesperson said: "South Area Roads Policing Support Group have been conducting vehicle check points and speed operations in F & G Districts.
"Two people were detected driving without insurance and have received £205 fines and six penalty points each."
The PSNI also reported that several drivers were detected travelling in excess of the speed limit and two people were detected driving with alcohol in their systems.
"When tested, they provided samples under the legal limit and were advised accordingly.
"Do not drive with any alcohol in your system. Your driving may still be impaired and your reaction times will be slower," said the PSNI spokesperson.
