There were numerous prizewinners from Fermanagh farmers at the RUAS Beef and Lamb Championships which took place at Balmoral Park on Tuesday.
In the lamb classes, the McCutcheon family from Trillick had a successful day, with Andrew McCutcheon picking up first prize rosettes in the Beltex sired lambs weighing 36-42.5kgs and over 42kgs and Jamie McCutcheon winning the YFCU class for lambs over 36kgs and also taking the Champion prize for the best butcher pair.
Clive Richardson from Maguiresbridge took first in the class for any other breed of lamb weighing 36-42.5kgs and also in the over 42kgs class.
In the calf classes, Alan Burleigh took third for the Limousin sired heifer; Leonard Bros took third for the Limousin sired bullock and Ken Sheridan took first in the class for British Blonde sired heifer.
In the beef cattle classes, Alan Burleigh took the red rosette for the best Beef Shorthorn sired steer while Ken Sheridan took fourth in the heifer class.
In the Charolais sired classes, Ken Sheridan took fourth for his heifer and Aaron Quigley took second for the steer.
In the Limousin sired steer classes, Alan Veitch lifted the first prize with third going to David Boles.
In the Simmental sired heifer class, Leonard Bros form Irvinestown took second prize and also lifting the Reserve breed champion prize.
For the British Blonde sired heifer class, Damian McManus, Belleek, took fourth place.
The last class was for breeding heifers and Leonard Bros from Irvinestown took the reserve.
