Rushin House Caravan Park has been named The AA Campsite of the Year, Scotland & Northern Ireland 2022.
Run by Cathal and Brenda O’Dolan, the caravan park provides a picturesque setting on the shores of Lough MacNean.
It was a bit of a surprise to Cathal and Brenda that they were being inspected as they had no idea it was taking place at the time until they received the report – but they were not complaining.
“We are absolutely delighted and honoured to receive this award,” said Brenda, adding: “We never thought that we would achieve anything like this when we started in 2007! What a great end to the 2022 season.”
Opened in 2007, there are now 38 touring pitches and 30 holiday homes, at the NITB 5-star park, located on the Fermanagh-Cavan border, beside the twin villages of Belcoo and Blacklion.
Local attractions, all set within 15 minutes, include Cuilcagh Lakelands Geopark, Florencecourt House, Cavan Burren Park, Enniskillen Castle and Museum, and Neven Maguire’s MacNean House and Restaurant.
