A drawing of her father fishing has landed 10-year-old Laura Williams a top prize in a national competition.
Laura is the only winner in the competition, organised by drug company, Pfizer, to come from Northern Ireland.
Her entry will make up the colourful illustration for the month of July in the company’s calendar for 1993.
As her prize, Laura received a £30 book token and her picture was framed.
In the competition children were given the topic: “The Doctor’s Favourite Hobby”.
Laura, a daughter of Dr. Gordon Williams, depicted her father fishing off a pier, with worms managing to escape from a tin behind him.
Laura is a Primary Seven pupil at Florencecourt Primary School.
