Florence Given, a talented singer from Fintona, will perform in the next episode of Glór Tíre as she competes to be crowned Ireland’s next Country music star.
On Tuesday night’s show (January 24), Florence will go head to head with Tex Deegan from Co. Limerick.
Florence has been singing for a number of years and was recently approached by John McNicholl, who asked her if he could mentor her for the show. Together, they recorded a duet and produced two singles which will be performed during Glór Tíre.
Over the years, Florence has performed with Robbie Pearson in Country Features, who has been very supportive.
Florence writes original songs and has also collaborated with fellow songwriters Jim Maguire and Paddy Montague.
During lockdown, she recorded two new CDs with David Doonan of the Sound Garden in Drumquin.
Tune in to see Florence as she performs in Glór Tíre on Tuesday night from 9.30pm on TG4. Voting will then open on February 7.
