A large crowd of animal lovers and their beloved pets came together for a special dog walk recently to commemorate 10 years since the passing of Bright Eyes Animal Sanctuary founder Pat Nolan.
Walkers gathered at the gates of Castle Coole, Enniskillen on Sunday, February 12, before setting off as a group around the forest paths of the National Trust estate.
Delighted with the turnout on the day for the Pat Nolan 10th Anniversary Memorial Dog Walk, a spokesperson for Bright Eyes thanked everyone for coming along.
They said: “Massive thanks to everyone who came to our memorial walk today for the tenth anniversary [walk for] the founder of our charity, Pat Nolan.
“It was lovely to meet some of the dogs who have been rehomed through the sanctuary, and to see so many of our supporters.
“We also want to thank members of Pat’s family who also came along to remember him and the amazing legacy he has left behind.”
Although the dog walk wasn’t specifically a fundraiser, many participants contributed to the charity by giving donations on the day, with funds that amounted to around £700.
A great day was had by all who attended, and their dogs.
