Local comic convention Enniskillen Comic Fest has won a prestigious accolade at the Comic Scene Awards 2023.
The results were announced on February 11, with the Fermanagh-based event winning the Best Comic Event category.
Delighted to have won the award, a spokesperson for Enniskillen Comic Fest said: "We're very proud to say that the Enniskillen Comic Fest has won the Best Comic Event category.
"Hugest thanks to all who took time to vote - we may be a small convention in the remote west of Northern Ireland but we have the most amazing and loyal fans.
"We really appreciate your support which makes up for all the hard work and we promise to keep bringing you the best comics focused convention we can. Salute!"
Following the great success of last year's event, Enniskillen Comic Fest will return this summer with a fantastic line-up of special guests from across the comic book world. Having enjoyed his Enniskillen Comic Fest experience in 2022, Garth Ennis, comics writer known for 'The Boys' and 'Preacher', will return to launch the follow up to last year's Battle Action Special with the Battle Action miniseries. Each issue will also have a story by another writer and the first issue includes the legendary John Wagner.
Joining Garth on the 2023 line-up is Keith Burns, John Wagner, Dan Cornwell, PJ Holden, Staz Johnson, Patrick Goddard and Mike Dorey.
This year's Comic Fest will run over two days; Saturday, June 3 from 10.30am to 5pm at St. Macartin's Cathedral Hall and Sunday, June 4 from 11am to 4pm at The Enniskillen Hotel.
