Motorists are advised to expect delays as Northern Ireland Electricity Networks (NIE) started cable laying works in the Enniskillen area this week, which are expected to last approximately 16 weeks in total, subject to change.
NIE began the work on Monday, April 17 on the Dublin Road, Cherrymount Link and Tempo Road in Enniskillen. This project, in collaboration with the Department for Infrastructure (DFI), will facilitate the construction of the new bridge associated with the new Enniskillen Southern Bypass by moving the overhead lines underground.
A NIE spokesperson said: "The work will last approximately eight weeks on the Dublin Road and a further eight weeks on the Tempo Road, with traffic management and diversions in place.
"We would like to take this opportunity to thank customers for their patience during this important project."
