- King Charles III and Queen Camilla are visiting Enniskillen today (Thursday, May 25) as part of a two-day tour of Northern Ireland.
- This is the first visit to the town for His Majesty The King as the reigning Monarch, following his Coronation earlier this month on May 6.
- During their time in Fermanagh, The King and Queen are visiting Enniskillen Castle Museums, meeting with locals including children from primary schools and youth organisations in the area.
- King Charles previously visited the county as the Prince of Wales accompanied by Queen Camilla, then the Duchess of Cornwall, in May 2019. The Royal couple attended a garden party hosted at Castle Coole then travelled to Lisnaskea where they met with Fermanagh locals including butcher Pat O'Doherty.
- Back in 2014, King Charles (then Prince of Wales) visited Enniskillen Castle Museums where he and Queen Camilla (then Duchess of Cornwall) visited exhibitions and met with Aughakillymaude Mummers.
- Other noted visits to the area included in the aftermath of the Enniskillen Bomb in 1987 when the then Prince of Wales and his first wife, Diana, Princess of Wales, travelled to Enniskillen to meet with the families of those killed, and to speak with survivors.
