This Saturday (July 8) will see the annual Rossnowlagh demonstration return for another year.

The Co. Donegal parade comprises lodges from Donegal, Cavan, Leitrim and Monaghan as well as visitors from Northern Ireland, and is the only demonstration held in the Republic.

The parade will begin close to St. John’s Parish Church at 12.30pm and there will be a religious service at 3pm, with the return parade leaving the field at 4.45pm.

Other parades will take place across the local area on the Twelfth of July, with Clogher hosting the demonstration for the Fivemiletown and Annahoe districts.

The parade will commence at Station Road at 12.15pm and will proceed along the length of Main Street, leaving the town on the Fivemiletown Road and making its way to Dunwoody’s Hill adjacent to the cricket pitch; platform proceedings will begin at 2.15pm.

Elsewhere in Dromore, Co Tyrone, Fintona District LOL No. 8 will welcome their counterparts from Strabane, Sixmilecross, Omagh, Newtownstewart and Killen districts.

The parade will move off from the Assembly Field on the Omagh Road at 12.30pm to the demonstration field on the Trillick/Fintona Road junction for demonstration at 2pm.
