JILL Ferguson, from Churchill, recently received her Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award during a ceremony at Holyrood Place, Edinburgh.
She attended the special event in early July, accompanied by her parents, John and Barbara.
The 21-year-old, their second daughter, achieved her award through the Collegiate Grammar School, Enniskillen.
She returned home to Fermanagh for the summer before she goes into her final year at Trinity College, Dublin where she is studying Law and French.
Well-known radio and television presenter, George Jones (pictured with Jill) presented her with her certificate.
The Duke of Edinburgh was in attendance and he went around each group and talked to recipients and parents, with Jill saying the most difficult aspect of their award was hiking over the mountains in West Fermanagh in really bad weather.
